DHL (short for Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn) is a German company specializing in freight forwarding and providing international logistics solutions and contract logistics "gui hang di my". The company was founded in 1969 by Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom, and Robert Lynn; and the initials D, H & L of the founders were used to name the company DHL Express International.

Federal Express became FedEx Express, RPS became FedEx Ground, Roberts Express became FedEx Custom Critical, and Caliber Logistics and Caliber Technology were combined to become FedEx Global Logistics. A new subsidiary, FedEx Corporate Services, was formed to centralize sales, marketing, and customer service for all subsidiaries. In February 2000, FedEx acquired Tower Group International, an international logistics company. FedEx also acquired WorldTariff, a tax and customs information company. TowerGroup and WorldTariff were renamed FedEx Trade Networks.
In February 2004, FedEx Corporation acquired Kinko’s Inc., a privately held company, and renamed it FedEx Kinko’s. This expanded FedEx’s retail presence to the general public. After the acquisition, all FedEx Kinko’s locations provided FedEx shipping services only. In June 2008, FedEx discontinued the Kinko’s name for its shipping centers and switched to the FedEx Office name.
In September 2004, FedEx acquired the Parcel Direct consolidator and renamed it FedEx SmartPost.
